Currently, we do not offer recommendations based on epigenetics (modifications to DNA). Rather, we look at variations within DNA that may determine whether genes are turned on (expressed) or turned off. Habit provides nutritional recommendations based on this information.
Here’s an example: Someone has a genetic risk variant that may increase their risk of caffeine sensitivity. Based on this and other biometric data, they may be given a recommendation to reduce their caffeine intake.
Keep in mind that your recommendations aren’t based solely on your DNA. When making your recommendations, we take a holistic view of your biomarkers, including nutrition-related indicators in your blood and your body metrics. We also consider your health goals.
