Currently, Habit does not offer recommendations based on epigenetics (modifications to DNA). Rather, we look at variations within DNA that may determine whether genes are turned on (expressed) or turned off. Habit provides nutritional recommendations based on the information.
Here’s an example: someone has a genetic risk variant that may increase their risk of caffeine sensitivity. Based on this and other biometric data, they may be given a recommendation to reduce their caffeine intake.
Keep in mind that we don’t just look at your DNA. We take other biomarkers consideration as well including indicators in your blood, as well as your self-reported body metrics and your goals.
